Qatar: Saudi Arabia, Egypt

Struggle for Qatar: Saudi Arabia, Egypt to close airspace

Saudi and Bahrain are expected to close their airspace to Qatar Airways today as Egypt has closed its airspace for Qatar Airways.

Many countries have broken their diplomatic relations with Khatara, accusing Qatar of supporting terrorism in the Gulf area.

The Qatar nationals in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have been ordered to leave the country within two weeks.

But Qatar refuses allegations of supporting extremists; Qatar has asked other countries to "transparent and honest negotiations".

Egypt has announced that Egypt will be closed to Qatar Airways for flights from Tuesday, 9.30 am until the re-announcement.

Qatar's capital, Doha is an important base for connecting international airports with traffic congestion.

Qatar Airways, Etiht and Emirates Airlines services are expected to be affected.

If Qatar is to be a major country in the West of Qatar, to avoid going through Saudi Arabia, Qatar Airways will have to travel through long distances, so travel time is also high.

But Qatar's foreign minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Sunni, told Al Jazeera television that the Qatar Airways would be able to fly internationally and internationally.

A Somali official told the AB news agency that Monday it used more than 15 aircraft in Qatar.
